Welcome to my personal portfolio.
I try to update this seasonally (with very little curating involved). This is simply an archive of some of my favored projects sometimes spanning back over many years. I’m a multi-disciplinary designer. I have run design teams as an Art Director and I have worked solo, doing it all from concept and execution to production. I love living, working and raising a family in New York City. Originally from New Jersey, I moved to New York in 1998 to attend Parsons School of Design, where I teach classes every few semesters. I have worked in Branding, Broadcast, Sport and Fashion and am most interested in the work that intersects these and many other areas. When I get a free minute I am working on a calligraphy-based history of graffiti in America. It will be published through Gingko Press. Hopefully before the end of 2011. In anticipation of our new book, Flip The Script, Handselecta has created, an art/print/functional sheet of transfer-lettering by Manhattan native SABE, who has applied his unique style to only four baseballs (Nod to the Yanks fans for the disappointing playoffs, Congrats to the Giants fans). This lettering transfer technology was a staple for arts and design professionals for years, but is now less commonly seen. Simply press and rub to transfer your message and SABEs handstyle to (almost) any surface!
